GMAC and those who go with them
Thanks to Capital One's No hassle about hassling you policy, my eye has been eyeballing GMAC financing. Capital One is a nightmare as many know and I want to know if anyone has much troubles with GMAC.. or special notes of interest.
Really really considering jumping ship and going with this company |

Firestone_ss is correct, to get a good rate with gmac you need a good credit score. They gave me 5% rate with a good credit score.

I've only had them 2 months but they've been fine for the Malibu. That was a promo 0% APR though...

I got 4.09% with GMAC (good credit score). At first they offered 4.89. I told them I could get 4.75 through a credit union. The dealer went back to GMAC and they offered 4.09 for any term up to 60 months.

Take a look at penfed.org. I do all of my loans thru them online and they are great. 3.99% up to 60mo. Approved and waiting on my ABM 2SS to be built next week....

Rolling along...

The one time I used GMAC (10 years ago), dealer was allowed to rip me off by telling me the rate GMAC approved as actually 2.5% higher than what they actually approved. GMAC said 8.5%, dealer said it was 11%. Called GMAC before I even paid the first payment to confirm rate that I was approved for and found out. Made 1 payment then re-financed with Capital One for 7.79%.

I got 3.77% through Bank of America, but I got alot of incentives because they also hold my mortgage, etc. You could probably get mid 4's though as long as you have decent credit.
