A6 Transmission Lines

I just installed a cooler with fan for my stall converter, and don't know which side of the cooler to install the thermostat.

Looking down from the top of the radiator on the passenger side, there is a line that goes to the passenger side of the original radiator, and one that goes to the driver side of the radiator.

Which one is from the tranny, and which one is to the tranny?

According to my GM parts guy, the drivers side line is the return to the tranny... But I am also looking for absolute confirmation in this.
