Borla ATAK Axelback, need help on how to center tips.

Just installed my Borla ATAK Axelback, need help on how to center tips. Please see the pic's, is it normal for them to pull to the outside? I do love the sound!!! Thanks ahead of time for any advice you can provide.

Someone has to hold them wherever they look perfect and you need to tighten them down. It may take a few tries depending on how meticulous you are...

Welcome to the atak club!

Thanks Jason, my current setup look ok?? My inner voice says I need to pull them out further and center them more...then there is part of me that likes it like this, but just a little more centered

You need to bend the hooks a bit. Mine were perfect after that.

You should be able to loosen the clamps and rotate the exhaust pieces so that they are centered. When installing my Borla ATAK catback it took me a couple of tries to get them right but they are centered.
Good Luck!

Thanks for the info! Besides having to center them, do I need to bring them out more??

Welcome to the ATAK club, I have mine pulled out enough that you can read the BORLA on the top of the tips, just a matter of taste I guess. I still haven't gotten my right side centered....a PITA

Awesome, I was worried that it might cause the plastic to melt. Looks like I need to figure out where to bend the post. Thanks for all the info, glad to know that I didn't screw this up and it's a common concern .

Thats not toooooo bad. At least ur tips are round. Mine are rectangular. That was a real bitch aligning mine. Needed three people. One holding the tips one tightening the clamps. And the third eyeing it from about 10-15 feet behind the car with the car up on the hoist and the tips at eye level. Even like that it took us about 45 minutes to align the. My problem was that the chrome "square" on the gfx woul amplify the square tips if they werent centered. But if your borla is anything like my catback, you should loosen all clamps a little and center it before tightening it

The exhaust looks/sounds great, man! It's a pain, but an extra set of hands will let you align and tighten at the same time making it way easier. If you have trouble, bending the posts shouldn't hurt anything. And I wouldn't worry about the diffuser melting. I have mine in the same spot and have had no problems. Enjoy!

I'm confused, my entire stock exhaust came off in 20 minutes, then I was able to instal my longtubes and entire atak system in about 40 minutes. Get it to where you want it and have someone hold it and then tighten it up??? Don't be afraid to manhandle it...!!
