parts are all at the platers....some came back friday...should be ready to go next week. with the exception of the cusotm boots and stuff being made but you can use the oem stuff for now

Question MGW shifter and GM Warranty
I ordered my 2010 SS2/RS about 3 weeks ago and this MGW shifter sounds great. Does anyone know if the GM warranty will be voided with a non-factory/dealer installed shifter?

Any problems fitting this shifter into a Pontiac G8 GXP?

Also, will this shifter reuse the OEM bushings on the bracket?

I am not sure that it will fit but i doubt it as this shifter is an entire assembly not just a center shaft and as such it actually will not even work on the v6 model camaro . we will have to machined a different front bracket and rear bracket. i will look into it when we get the v6 model done though.


oh to answer the question about the warranty being voided. they can only deny warranty coverage on a part if they can show that the aftermarket part caused the failure and then they only can void that part of the warranty not the whole thing.

Any new info or pictues? Have you determined the final price yet? Hoping to see some pics with different shifter knobs.

I will be keeping an eye one this especially since GM all the sudden decided to discontinue the Hurst shifter .

did you check out the other threads that show our race knob with ss logo?

i vwill be posting up the white and black plastic balls soon also


the shifter is looking like it will sell for about 375.00 still waiting on the final pricing on the custom rubber dust boot but it is fairly set at this point.

they have NOT discontinued the shifter!. it is going thru a re-design PER GM's request!.
