Slick 50

Someone was asking whatever happened to Slick 50, big in the 80s-90s. Was a subsidiary of Quaker State and the FTC shut them down in 97.

I must admit, I fell for their spiel in 1986, just for one quart though, then I moved on to something else, probably Ronco's julian fry maker.

Yes, same here. My friend and I fell for it back around 1988? when he got his first 5.0 LX. Didn't do any harm, but he used it only once.

I had poured that in my '78 Camaro and was not so lucky... from what I can tell it was great stuff in a NEW engine. In my case it cleaned the interior of the engne so well, within 1000 miles the crank bearings let go... Coincidence???

It was a good time to upgrade from a 305 to a 350 4 bolt
