The irony in all of this is that people go on Facebook, Twitter, and all the other social media sites and think nothing of spilling their personal info.

Be it as it may, everyone has their own opinion. BUT, we lose rights everyday. Federal laws, state laws, county laws, city laws, blah blah blah...once you lose a right you NEVER get it back. And don't think that when these black boxes get put in cars they (who ever they will be) will push the envelope and take what they can or what we will give.

You may not be worried but please be aware. Or just don't care but one day you will. When they want to take your rights. Baaawaaahhhhh bwaaaahhhhhhh (that's my evil laugh)

OP, most of your info is wrong..

The bill wasnt passed that would require it in all cars. Whats going to happend is that there will be a standardized set of recorded data that all automakers will be held to, so they cant collect data outside the regulations. You can still disable to box because its not required to be used by any law

You want to know why that is? It's because more people nowadays want to rely on the government to protect us from ourselves. If you don't like how laws are being passed so the government controls everything from what doctor you can see to how much money you should be allowed to make you need to vote for those that will protect your individual rights instead of complaining about losing them.
