GM Extended Warranty Question

My question is a simple one, since the Camaro is new and things will bound to be wrong would it be a good idea to buy the extended warranty? Thanks for your opinions.

Always a waste of money in my opinion. You paid $1800.00 for something you already have for 3 years. What if you sell the car, what if you total it out, etc, etc ??. Ask Susie Orman- She knows.

I did, paid 720 to double the warranty to 6 years. With it being 1st gen, it made sense to me and the price was fair, imo.

So does the extra three years cover bumper to bumper?

When I was offered the ext Warranty it seemed like a great deal but it turned out the junk they were offering me wasnt a bumper to bumper. It was some watered down version of the original warranty. They also pitched it like it was a 7 year warranty when in fact it was a 4year warranty that didnt cover all the stuff the original warranty covered and it was cost prohibitive at the time to purchase it.

This would make sense if your extended warranty was the EXACT same warranty you got from GM. I would suggest that the extended part isnt and ask that you review your paperwork very carefully. Dont read the advert. hand out they gave you but read the actual warranty paperwork and see what is covered. You may find that your not covered for what you thought you were. I hope you are covered for the full B to B. I would be pleasantly surprised and have faith that someone in the industry is doing the right thing.

Yes it did. It was a GM warranty product, so it mirrored the GM warranty. also provided me a rental car with jobs > 2 hours during the entire term.

I haven't recieved the paperwork on it yet. I drilled the finance guy hard, and he said it was exactly the same as the btb, that GM offers since it was a GM warrantly add on. I fit isn't I will cancel it, as I agree with you it would suck to pay for something that won't cover the car.

Let's see power window $500, transmission $2000. Think again. Check out the problems some people have had with corvettes. Like the abs brakes.
