Very true, but don't just think of the price. It isn't cheap, but then neither is the quality of these brakes. There are a lot of things different from this kit than the stock kit, they're not just bigger. And bigger as they are, they weigh the same or less than the stock kit too. Not all brakes are made the same, and just because they say Brembo, doesn't mean they're all just as good as all other Brembo's. This kit is designed for racing purposes. I'm not getting Pfadt coil-overs, sways and bushings because I plan to have the best handling car during my 6 mile trip to work!! The same reason I didn't put this brake kit on to have the best stopping car on the same trip. I do plan to do some autocrossing in this car, and when I do, I'll be ready

To Matt'sSS's point, that would be a pretty good idea to swap the front to the rear, I wonder if it would bolt right up though. If it doesn't then there's no point as the rear brakes are already pretty strong.

Not necessarily, but it's very easy to fab a bracket, if it's a common upgrade you can probably find shops that make them & sell them.

There's other less expensive tricks too... I think it was Baer that made a line of upgrades to larger quality hat & floating rotor setups by using brackets to move your caliper to the appropriate place. More surface area on the rotor helps too.

Yea definitely. Surface area is probably one of the most important things about a good system. The only reason I said that if the front doesn't bolt right up to the rear that it might not be worth it is because in this case the front and rear calipers and rotors are so close in performance and specs that it might not be worth the time or effort to fabricate a bracket. If you had a system that had a 4 piston front and 2 piston rear then it would definitely be worth it. Either way I am very happy with this kit and I know I will be using it how it's meant to be used, maybe not to it's fullest capabilities, but definitely going to put it through its paces

Just get 3 of your closest (& preferably shortest ) friends with you for a ride & brake check everyone to a dead stop at absolutely every opportunity you have!

Keep doing it till someone looses a contact! Just make sure no one has eaten anything all day or was binge drinking the night before

PS just to throw in my 2 cents... I have autocrossed for 10 years + and was Chief of Tech for 6 + years in my region (aside from tons of other racing experience), if you need brakes like this vs the stock SS ones to Autocross, you're doin something wrong. Aside from the fact these would immediately take you out of Stock class, putting you at a disadvantage if you don't start doing more mods to your car (assuming you plan on winning anything, which i see no other reason to race ).

Agreed, i have mainly installed this kit on my car for show purposes. I do plan to do some autocrossing, but i dont plan to compete seriously.
