What kind of mpg's are expected with a mild cam, ls3 conversion and stock converter?

When I had a mild cam and a Maggie my gas mileage was just as good as stock. My car always got decent gas mileage it seems compared to a lot of guys that post.

16.1 mpg right now
Ls3 conversion, Cam, heads, ptb, pim, 1 7/8 SP headers, cai intake, lingenfelter exhaust with x pipe, 25% UDP, 3200 stall, and custom tune When I had the stock converter it drove fine. But I wouldn't expect stock drivability. The tune has a lot to do with how the car will drive

Depends on the cam....some might actually work better with a bit higher stall.
I would figure you are going to loose 2-3 mpg in town, and if the car is tuned right....might even pick up 1 mpg on the highway. |

OP....my car got 11-12mpg in town and 20-22 on the highway with the stock converter. With the 3600 I probably get 10 in town but still get the same 20-22 on the highway depending on how fast I'm going. Granted....my in town is 2 miles to work stop and go, back home for lunch, back to work, run a few errands, and back home. |
