4 days down, 6 to go. 240 views, 3 watchers, but no bids yet :/ I'm going to be seriously bummed out if this car doesn't sell.

The issue is you have a V6 manual. Yea, it might be fun but most people who went the V6 route (that you want to sell it too) want the automatic so its an easy fun to drive car with no worries. Then, throw in the fact that its a 2010 and its an even bigger problem.

First thing, change the font in your ad. Find someone that sells LOTS of cars and you will see what I mean. You have to get their attention.

Second, bring attention to your listing. Pay the extra .50 to get it up top (not sure if that is still the price).

Third, pricing. You have it priced pretty decent but you can get a brand new 2014 2LT for $28,432 with no haggling through truecar. That represents a 30% price drop for 3 years. Lots of people will just say, why not get the newer car that has a brand new warranty and blah, blah.

Forth, bring up the uniqueness of the '10. Different steering wheel than the new one. Better looks.

Final thing, look at other COMPLETED auctions and see how they described the car. If you try to talk them into buying, people will turn away. Just describe the car and let the people ask the questions.

My auction ( http://ipsite.org/1l52 ) is coming up on the last 24 hours. No bids yet :( but over 300 views, and I think I'm up to 6 watchers. I hope someone snipes the auction at the last second. That will make me very happy.

I really don't know what to do at this point. It's been 6 months and I can not get rid of this car. And the thing is mint. But nobody knows this, I haven't had a single person come check it out. The best ebay price i hit was $18,500ish. FYI the book is currently around $23,500. My CL price is all the way down to $20,500 and I'm still getting zero interest. I'm so glad I'm leasing the new one. This sucks. Had NADA and KBB told me the book value of my car was only $18,000, I probably wouldn't have bought a new one.

The fact you've had this car for 6 months shows that the asking price is out of tune with what people are willing to pay. If you want to sell it soon, looks like you'll have to lower the price even further, probably into the teens. Have you compared your asking price against what other similar cars have actually sold for (as opposed to ones that haven't sold yet)? Have you tried selling the car to a dealer?

My advice is forget what KBB or Edmunds say that your car is worth. If you really want to know log into Ebay look up your year, and look at completed listings. What you are looking for is what the bidding went up to on the unsold vehicles, and what the sale price was on completed listings. This will better give you an idea of where the price needs to be to garner interest. Hints any modifications typically lower the value of the vehicle.

As I just sold my 2010 SS/RS with under 7k on the OD, I can honestly say that its a buyers market and only if its super clean with no mods! These cars are dropping like stones in price! I am not upset with the 27.5 I got for the car at all. Winter is coming fast and the new models will kill value even more. Look up your car on Galves as far as trade in value and that's pretty much what ebay and other auction sites are showing for completed sales. Galves is pretty spot on.

Best of luck to all .....

I bought my used car this month 10 2ss/rs 4.5k miles for 27.5. Literally mint in every way.

Thats where there at right now, you might find a high mile for less but not much less. if you really want to sell privately adverstise your ass off and make it your listings stick out...GLWS

I now have a signed bill of sale for my 2010 2LT for $19,500. I would have liked more but I've got too much other shit going on in my life right now to care. Don't tell the buyer that though. Anyway I haven't been paid yet. Hopefully he's going to come by tomorrow and we're going to try to do a wire transfer on the spot. Then he gets the title and it should be a done deal.

I'm not saying this about the forum sellers, but most people selling on craigslist and cars.com are clueless idiots. I've spent the last few days trying to track down a 2010/2011 ss rs with basic mods and the lack of details in ads is ridiculous.

People don't include mileage, trans, year, interior color...all kinds of stuff. Then they don't respond. The lack of good photos is killer as well.

Then when they do respond 5 days later they just say "auto". How would I ever know which car was yours.

Best advise, offer a ton of detail and be very responsive. And for Christ sake, when you sell it pull the ads down,
