fender flaps
i made my own fender flaps out of plastic truck skirt, and i have a pattern cut for these.

Fender Flaps
I get the desire to protect the paint, but you need to make it look integrated in the design. If these were shaped to match the front OE, then maybe this would be good.
I'm sorry to say but not attractive IMO.
