how sick would a t-top Z28 be? any chance?

I think if there were any chance of us seeing a factory t-top, a Z28 would be it.

Still no chance. In fact, there would be even less chance on the Z/28 vs the other versions. There are massive structural members right above the door. Remove them (for T-tops) and you compromise the strength of the car & need to reinforce things in order to keep the it safe in a crash, as well as maintaining a stiff chassis for better handling. Re-working the underlying structure would require a massive investment & result in a heavier car.

Not to mention they would impede on the area for the side curtain airbags which is said to be the reason we'll never see them.

Ha to all, agreed. track specific Z28 and Ttops don't even makes sense. TTops started being retarded back in the late 80's anyways IMO

I agree with them bit not belonging on the z28 but retarded? Really? I for one love my t-top 4th gen because it allows me to have a vert feel without the hassle of a drop top or having to be confined to a hard top on those nice weather days.

Never going to happen. Federal regulations make it nearly impossible. Discussed at length over the past few years.

Sorry

Yes a track car needs less structural rigidity and more flex. The chance is zero and makes as much sense as putting skinnies up front to aid in handling.

This car is not for the mullet wearing T-Top crowd. Very few will be made and they will be owned by the likes of Rick Hendrick and Jay Leno. No beer swilling rednecks need apply - LOL !!!
