when should i call my dealer
i ordered on on august 26th, when should i call to check the progress of things and to ask for the eventcode/ordernumber

You just placed the order.. Chances are they haven't had a chance to put it in the computer system yet. One thing to remember guys, is the dealers will general call you periodically to let you know where your vehicle is. The sales person, can't access the workbench. That usually takes a manager. And please be understanding that dealerships usually get busy. Best thing to do is wait a week, then just call the sales person early in morning, and ask if he could check that for you.

I'd say give them about a week, then they should have the order number for you! If it takes them longer then that, stay on them, call till you get it!

Just ask for the order number. That's all you really need.

1100 and 3000 are order status codes. The numbers change as your order goes through the process of being built. If you look at my signature block I have most of the important ones listed. Once you get your order number you can go the tracking thread and ask the Viz. He can track it up to 3800, which is your car being built. Hope this helps you out.

i give my dealer 1 week ... and i call GM CS whenever i need to wet my appetite... they are not at all reliable tho...
