Only reason I mounted mine to the back of the seat was to quick disconnect the speaker leads on the rear of the sub box incase I needed to take my subs out for some reason

I would only think u would have to worry about overheating is if ur running a major Watt setup up or competition setup but class d amps run more efficiently and produce less heat than say a 2 channel or 4 or 5 channel I think

So did you already have the factory system with a amp before the new system?

I want to build something really cool to display my amps and all but like now I want to be able to get to my battery and tire pump easily instead of having to unhook and move a bunch of things!

And that's where many of us have to choose between showpiece and such between practicality I initially wanted to get a custom bandpass enclosure done for 2 12jl audio w6v2s with a port up through the rear deck but came to the conclusion I need my trunk and changing a battery and such would b near impossible with the enclosure and amp rack taking up too much space so just settled on 2 10s that could easily be taken out if necessary

Yeah, mine had the factory amp. Replaced it, added a sub and replaced all of my speakers with JL.
