So who here thinks that the L99 SS will get better mileage than the LS3 version? Whow thinks the tranny choice will be a no cost option, and who thinks you will pay extra for auto?
P.S. Who here can say that the "new" EPA estimates are on the low side? I mean, my LS1 gets over 30MPG on the highway and was rated a lot lower using the "old" system that was supposed to be too generous. Last edited by Captain Awesome; 07-21-2008 at 05:26 PM. Reason: Added comment |

I would have to say I was a bit disappointed in the webcast as well. I think way too much time was spent talking about other GM vehicles instead of being completely focused on the Camaro.
Although the release of the spec sheet and colors was very nice. Pricing and the list of "factory" available options would be nice. It indicated that "extensive list of options and accessories for almost unlimited personalization choices". Would really be nice to know what those are since a couple of the pictures show the coupe with a sunroof but with no details on what trim package it is available on. Also does anyone know what the next date of August 6th entails? I can't find the thread where the discussion of another annoucement from GM on that date was mentioned. Hoping they will have more than just the red production coupe at the Indy 500 show in September. Would be nice to see all the paint choices and options in person. Anyone else attending? Have any insider details? |

I think the main thing is that today we found out what we were pretty much expecting. IMHO this late in the game its a good thing not to have too many radical surprises. Hopefully what that means is what we are getting has been thought out and polished... that all = a quality product...... I hope. I've been reading this forum since about Aug of 07. Everything that has been leaked has been pointing towards something like this... and I can say that I'm not dissappointed. Thanks Chevy!

Per a post from Fbodfather at about 4:30 this morning, it will say SS and the badge will be red. Another person in the know said the default will be silver for the SS without the RS package.

All members here really better start treating others with respect or we're going to begin closing threads temporarily to "prune" them.
This level if immaturity will NOT be tolerated. Now...Do I need to close the thread??? |
