Maybe this can help you. I've read almost every thread on the drone and I remember someone saying that they don't have to be "J" shaped. As long as you follow the formula.

Thanks, but if I remember correctly there is a mid body brace that starts just behind the tranny and goes to the H Pipe I'll have to look into it, thanks.
Here is a front to mid underbody picture:

I see what you mean now. I'm sure there's something that can be done, just have to figure it out. Solo makes a nice catback for convertibles. Maybe you can try to copy their design for the placement of the j pipe.

The problem there is the MRT V2 muffler size and position does not allow enought room for the J Pipe routing. Notice there is no actual muffler on the Solo version so the J Pipe is routed very close to the pipe itself.

Well then looks like your options are
1. Sell or trade your mrt v2 and get v1 which are way skinnier and a bit more aggressive. You might be able to add the j pipes to this system.

2. Get the full solo catback ( made for convertibles )
3. Stay with v2 and deal with the drone. Until you can figure out a way to deal with it.
4. Go back to stock. ( not recommended ). Lol

I actually used up my mod budget for the year so it looks like 3 is where I am going to be.
Thanks everyone for the suggestions.

You might try seeing if you can find someone who wants to go from the MRT v1 to the v2.

Wouldn't that just make the exhaust louder all the time? I am happy with the sound 90% of the time, I definitely don't want to mess up the 90% just to be happy with the 10%.

My v1 is not loud all the time. It's only loud when I get on it. Just like v2

Edit - in my opinion. Lol

Yes, but you'd be able to do the J pipes.

Loud is a relative term, what is loud to one person may not be to another person.

I would agree, at cruising the neighborhood speeds it is pretty tame, drop the hammer and all hell breaks loose!!

Update on my j pipes. Finally got them fabricated. Not the prettiest pipes but I'm sure they will do the job. Looking to install them next week.
