I had the same issue. All they were gonna do was keep replacing the stock muffler. Decided shortly after my 2nd set of mufflers messed up that i was gonna try the atak.

Out all the exhausts I heard so far and online the Borla S type imo sounds the best.Hopefully with just the axelback some of the drone will be lower.

I have Borla LT's and Atak absolutly love it it is very loud though. I ran the Atak w/ the factory manifolds for a few months and it sounded great as well. If your trying to be a little more suddle I would go with the S-Type IMO

Aside from price, what the advantage/disadvantages of the axle back over the cat back?

So the ...Borla S-type (Stinger) Catback Exhaust w/ X-pipe would be the best way to go and not have to do any tuning then?

I'm stealing someones picture off google, so I apologize if it's someones picture here that didn't want me to use it. Anyway, you can see with the picture below the factory exhaust, and a set of ARH Long tubes:
The exhaust flows so much easier though the header you see on the bottom, you can just see how many sharp angles are in the factory manifold, along with the catalytic converters in there which really slow things down. |

So the catbak connects to the headers then.
So until I get new headers (voiding any warranty), I wont need to tune anything till then. Will installing the catbak without a tune have any long term effect, or things will work fine? Thx |

Catback without a tune is fine, I would run it on my personal car without worrying about it. |

Well, ordered the Borla, now I just have to find a shop in my area that can install these when they show up. States 2 weeks before shipping, since new product...the wait begins...
