Kit twin turbo for Camaro SS 2013 L99
Hi, My name is Eduardo and I am from Brasil.
I have an Camaro SS 2013 L99 automatic. I want to install a twin turbo kit. Should I MUST convert it to LS3 first ? Can someone tell me where to find or buy those kits ? Maybe here ?? 1-) GPI – L99 to LS3 Conversion Kit for 2010-2015 Chevrolet Camaro SS https://gwatneyperformance.com/produ...-kit/#camshaft 2-)Hellion 2010-2015 Chevrolet Camaro SS Twin Turbo System https://www.hellionturbo.com/product...-turbo-system/ I know I will need remap after all instaled and configured. Do I need to buy anything else or change other stuff ? thank you. |

I would convert to LS3.
You'll probably need fuel system upgrades as well. Look at the AGP twin turbo kit. https://agpturbo.com/camaro-5-ss-agp...urbo-kit-v2-0/ |

Yes you should convert to LS3. AGP turbo kit probably has the best reputation and is rock solid. The Hellion kit is probably nice too. Good to see boosted Camaro’s down in Brazil! Good luck with your build!

thanks all for the replies.
Yes I have a good mechanic friend who said he can do this. He will create the whole kit for me and the tunning will be done for another one. He is so smart and dedicated. He created SE7E car Look his instagram = https://www.instagram.com/cordovaengenharia/ He was not sure about the tunning process. if my Camaro can be tunned only using Camaro's central or it will need Fulltech ecu. Thanks all for the support. If this project happens I will let you guys know. |

Hi guys,, project started..
We are going to do twin turbo.. We decided to not convert L99 to LS3 but we will not push to much HP and also we will set motor rpm to 6.500rpm. Do you guys know any way to avoid problems using L99 configuration ?not converting to LS3 ? thank you. |

What part of L99 vs LS3 are you talking about keeping?
No way I would keep displacement on demand. Variable Valve Timing should be able to keep. You better have a good transmission tuner if you want the auto transmission to survive. |

We are making a twin turbo kit for my Camaro L99, but we don't intend to convert it to LS3 .
We are using a FuelTech for tunning all parameters related to fuel injection, turbine presion, etc. https://www.fueltech.net/products/ft450-efi-system As I understood we need to avoid floating valve by lowering the engine RPM and set a low presion for the turbine. We will keep the same automatic transmission, what are the advices for this ? how do we proprely tunne this ? Also can someone explain with quick words what is DOD/AFM ? it can be disabled when tunning ? This project is not desing to have a huge gains.. like 800cv or more.. it just want a bit more power as much save possible. |

It is far more cost effective to purchase an engineered twin turbo system than to build one, all the hard work and failures have been conquered. You will need to keep the Factory ECM so your trans will work. Aftermarket ECM is not the way to go here. We build cars with over 1500 HP on Stock ECMs. We carry everything you need, so we can provide the correct parts, the correct advise, and remote tune the combination when completed. https://jannettyracing.com/pages/gen-5-camaro-ss-parts I would advise installing a complete Turbo cam package as well as L99 to LS3 conversion package on the engine to build the foundation. https://jannettyracing.com/products/...ose-your-grind https://jannettyracing.com/products/...85918f16&_ss=r Fuel system and injector upgrades will be required as well. https://jannettyracing.com/products/...2015-camaro-ss https://jannettyracing.com/products/...ctors-set-of-8 Transmission should be serviced and dipstick tube added. https://jannettyracing.com/products/...on-service-kit https://jannettyracing.com/products/...it-6l80e-6l90e This is only the tip of the iceburg we carry everything Camaro. I tune many very fast cars in Brazil, I am familiar with your fuel and its capabilities. Ted.

thank you so much for your reply. I understand you have a already made twin turbo kit available, but my friend want to develop his own. He is an genius and I am sure he can do it. The only question is about L99 to LS3 conversion. We will run first without this conversion. We will try to create a twin turbo kit for L99 and if we find any huge problems, then we will convert it to LS3. |

Note: It's possible that just putting in a ZL1 fuel pump won't be enough for you.
I have a custom Twin Turbo setup with a ZL1 pump, and it does not provide the 58psi needed at high RPMs just by putting it in. I recently added a FuelMax to boost the volts up to 17v, and that, combined with the correct ZL1 tune settings for the pump, should do the trick. The SS fuel pump settings in the tune are not the same as the ZL1 settings, The SS lowers the voltage down at higher RPMs. Very strange, lol. Also i was told the L99 to LS3 is better for FI since the compression is little different. I might have to look into that JANNETTYRACING Transmission filter and dipstick tube. Here is my setup @ https://www.facebook.com/NBECAMARO
