Had a fun trip at the track monday. Had a nice group of cars go out... everything from 5th gens, jeep srt8's, and a GTR.

Jim was able to pull off a 11.789 @ 116 with a 1.68 60ft. I really think hes got more in her after getting that 60ft down. I was really impressed with his passes. He started trying to launch at too high of an RPM and it cause him to lunge forward a little bit. So i think he said the sweet spot was 2200rpm.

Yeah I saw, very nice. I'm out this weekend for LS Fest but will install this intake manifold when I get back and then go to Jim to check on the tune. I'll go racing sometime after that.

How did Randy do and the others do?

Randy was very very consistant. 13.0's all day long. Took a little adjusting with the burnout and everything. I got some videos i will post up when i get the time. I think for his power level the tire pressure was too low.

everyones best pass wa their first one. There were a ton of FWD and street cars killing the track prep. And the DA got over +2000 after about 1pm so times started slowing down.

Overall it was a fun time, i think Jim was the only new PB though.

I haven't made any passes for a while, was too hot and work other obligations have kept me busy. I won't be able to race this week as I'm helping my buddy at the LSX final race in Indy.

I have made 3 changes since I was last out:

18's up front, only dropped 11 lbs a corner, but they turn easier than the 20x9/275's I had up front:

New Era OTR air intake:

Rich Crawford ported and modified intake manifold (thanks Mike P for the install help):

Car feels pretty strong. I actually think I could tolerate more stall converter now.

I'm thinking I'll get out next week, Thursday at GLD assuming I get some tires.

i was at GLD all day yesterday. i do have to say it was amazing how well the track was prepped most of the day. Had a fox body mustang lift all 4 wheels off the ground and almost land on me haha.

There was a CTS-v Coupe running some meaty tires and hitting mid 10's all day. Thing was beatiful. But total of over 120 cars yesterday.

PSJ, i know for sure on october 27th (sunday) Scotch Man and I will be at the track with some other guys as usual. Hoping for some killer DA by then.

Not sure on that Sunday but I'll see. What color was the v coupe? My friend cracked 11's with a tune and drag radials in his.

Jim been out since he ran 11.7?

Lol I feel like its been forever since I have seen you

But it was a black coupe. From my understanding he had a forged built motor including heads and cam. Plus a decent amount of nitrous. 2 stages to be exact with 2 bottles. It was insane. Sounded amazing

And the last time Jim was out was the 11.7 pass. He wants to wait for cooler air. I have been MIA trying to work to get my car back together. Its been a long 3 months

sent from my galaxy s3. that would explain the errors.

Not sure on that. The guy was tall, had his own HP Tuner, and was very into tweaking his car. Came with large cooler of ice for his intercooler too he was constantly changing. Very in tune to his car. but very nice the few moments he could take a break and say something.

Maybe you should just do a Procharger and call it a day Jerry.

Car feels good though.

My problem isn't the boost. Its the shortblock lol

But I'm looking forward to seeing you break the 11's.

New drag radials ordered. I'm going to Indy for the LSX race so can't do anything on my heap until I get back. Still planning to hit GLD a week from Thursday.

No same as we have now. My thinking is three-fold... One I like DD'ing on drag radials, always have. I hate making power and then not being able to hook the power on the street. I end up burning up a set of street tires real fast. MT's work better, but I read that they only go 3K on the street and I'm not spending $700 on tires twice a summer.

Second, I have a friend with these tires, he's gone 1.5's with them and bolt-ons, has gone 11.94 in his Camaro.

Third, if I get real serious about going quicker (10.99 would be a good goal), I think I'd buy some 28x17 Hoosier slicks since our local tracks are just kinda meh from a prep standpoint. I've run both drag radials and slicks over the years and honestly for the kind of average conditions we have at the grove the slicks are more forgiving.
