Your right - GM should just fill in the slit and forget about it.

no no, not the frame.

just the plastic in the back of the vent. Sure, any air that goes through the vent will just get beat around the crossmember and radiator but it's still more air in the engine bay.

But, I can see that there really isn't an easy way to make it RAM, or cold air intake direct to the air filter. Hopefully aftermarket will come up with a kit.

^Exactly. I can see GMPP or another aftermarket parts co. jump in here and make another CAI kit that goes under the car similar to a 4th Gen that feeds it from the bottom of the air box. Just give it some time. I'm SURE someone is already working on it....hold up. Didn't GMPP already SAY they had the CAI work done?!?!?! They did.

In think I like the paper shredder idea best! Or maybe I will build a fax machine for everyone to use when I'm at Carlisle!

Seeing how there are 79 other photos of that car in that photobucket album, not including that one, I'm calling until you can improve your story.

"Large Structural Element" = "Hood Latch".. I thought it was functional until now.. I guess replacing the V8 bumper with the V6 one should be no problem for those that want it..

Nope - well, assuming they use some halfway normal method of securing the thing.

Ok...now even I call

You're sayin' that you own an 08 SRT Charger, but don't own a digital camera?? Ok, then....I know you have a cell phone, right? And I'm sure that has a camera on it. Problem solved.

Seriously....it's a gorgeous car and I'd love to see more pictures of it.

...and watch the language.
