1. I like my kenwood headunit. I contemplated allot of NAV DD and the 9980/9990 was the winner. My major priority was getting a good Nav system. I didn’t want to rely on an App for navigation. I wanted one that had good navigation and good sound. I read reviews comparing it to others and this was the winner. Only complaint I saw from people was that the 9980 was slow. So when I went to my installer I told him I wanted the scosche with the alpine unit and that’s when he told me that in a few months the 9990 was coming out and it had a faster processor. Since I needed to install something quick (to ensure scosche was properly working) he offered me the 9980 demo from his store while the 9990 came in.
2. I didn’t build them, my installer did. Phone is 817 265 1282. Here is the link http://www.mobilesoundtx.com . Just tell him you want some tweeter pods like Cesar’s Camaro. If he needs me to come in during the weekend to replicate it I’ll do it for you. As far as the speakers… You need to find yourself an authorized dealer for hertz so that you can get that warranty that you wouldn’t get online. I know of another one up in Arkansas but it would be same distance for you to go to either or. The one in Arkansas is called TC Audio. I love the sound for these speakers. So loud, deep, and clear. I was actually going for the level under this one which is more loud but not as clear but when my installer played this setup for my wife.. she said get that one!
3. Well they don’t really interact with each other except for the Steering wheel control. As I posted earlier you just need to solder some wires and it works fine. You don’t need to buy another SWC kit.. just do the workaround. As far as why I picked the scosche kit it was because I really did not like the Metra Kit. Personal opinion only so don’t jump me Metra guys. It looks like a calculator watch if you ask me.LOL. I love the touch screen control for the scosche kit as well. I get allot of wows for that one.

They are strips of led on the top and bottom of the SS amp rack. Thanks for the positive feedback

Where did you get the 300 amp alt? Been looking for one and can't find any higher than 250. Also, anyone know the output of the stock alt?

Hey talk to guys over at your shop today!! Seem like great guys!! Have some custom things in mind and looking forward to discuss ideas and details. How do you like your head unit? Thinking about waiting for new kenwood in march or going with current kenwood.

Well I had the 9980 and the 9990 is allot faster. Not iPhone bad ass processor fast but definitely faster. I haven't heard rumors about an boost in processor in the 2013 models but I have heard about wifi integration and my link integration only. They announce the details soon so may as well wait
