2015 1le
i know this is premature to ask but since the z28 got lighter with thinner glass, zero radio and an option to delete air among other things, is it possible that the 2015 1le camaro could possibly have similar options? everyone knows the history behind this car and how it was a stripper car in the 80's early 90's, just seems like chevrolet should go back to that idea for 2015. I'm in the market for a 1le and would love to have this as a possibility again because i would not hesitate a moment to order a stripped down 1le

No because it actually costs GM a good bit to offer cars that way. We can only get one color interior so I wouldn't expect a lot of options like that for the final year of the fifth gen. It would be cool though. They are concentrated on working on the sixth gen so I wouldn't expect much for the Camaro for 2015 other than a few minor improvements and maybe a special edition appearance package. A 1SS with limited options is your best bet.

Well I'm hoping the SS gets the LT1.

i agree with pyrolysis...changing things in the factory and making everything optional for the customer has been over for a while, too costly for the company for a mass-produced car, especially in the last year of the generation

Yeah maybe for the sixth gen. I just hope they don't reserve the LT1 for a higher tier Camaro. We may not see a 6.2L as the entry level V8 for the Camaro. If they can beat the fifth gen SS performance with 327 I would be fine with that though.

I doubt you'll see a change at all for the '15's. Why mess with a good thing. Adding more parts will raise the price of the option package, possibly hurting the desirability of the package. I bet there will be twice as many '14 1LE's as there are '13's.

GM needs more options. Sure it's fine that things come standard but options for the consumer is a must.

You have not seen pics of the sixth gen. No one outside of GM has seen it. What you saw were renderings that came from somebody's imagination.

wouldnt adding z28 stuff to lower trims reduce cost? fyi the zl1 fuel pump is now standard on all v8 camaros. i would not be surprised to find more zl1 stuff on the ss and maybe the v6

I am outside of GM, but there often . The things I have seen cannot be unseen......But being that I like the money my job provides I need to keep it so I must not speak of the things I have seen. .
