Dealer told me today that "ALL of the camaros produced are ALL on hold and bayed" for the tire/temperature problem

No actual ETA yet, but Im still trading in my Cadillac and paying for the Camaro this Thursday to lock in the $3500 worth of February incentives

I did the same thing with locking in the price... I just hope high 30s is enough for them to ship them.. Heck the easiest way to fix this other than waiting is to ship the car with winter wheels and mail the good rims and wheels to the dealership to exchange once the car arrives...

do you mean the price that is listed on the very very bottom of the invoice sheet?

The dealer invoice price not the msrp... So I paid 2k less than what the dealer paid for the car

Edit: I still had to pay tax and all that stuff but the base price is what I'm talking about

So it looks like they shipped some yesterday and hopefully they ship ours before this weekend

Sooo I just got off the phone with a friend of mine that strictly sells high performance vehicles for Chevrolet and he told me that all 1LEs and ZL1s go through an extra quality inspection which includes a 10 mile test loop to make sure everything on the car is perfect before they ship the car out. I am not sure if ours have already been inspected but I don't think the hold is because of the tires because some regular SSs have escaped the plant.

Why can't GM just come out and say this? Why all the rumors and lack of information? I think they have a good reason for not shipping the cars, just don't understand why they can't tell people what that reason is.

As much as I am going to love this car, I will never do this again. I had to constantly bug my dealer for my order number then I got it. After that was a long wait and a build date. Then a push back of six weeks with no clear explanation of why other than some assumptions on here. Now this will still no explaination. Sigh. Sorry for venting I feel better now.

Who knows, maybe they will do a decent rebate on them next month and I can get another special offer. I got nothing but time. Lol

I heard the mileage that is on the 1LE is because they drive them to get the hood wraps done. not test drive them for quality.
