I had just scaled the car at Back Street performance. With the the big rubber camaro trunk mat, three full bottles of cleaner and a brake fluid. my car weighed 3792 with just a fuzz under half a tank.
It was a blast! My top speed that day was 147mph and I averaged 7mpg our last time out. Watching the video's you can defiantly see your your lower weight was helping huge on corner entry and exit! I must have watched the video's 100 times trying to see where you were gaining on me so I can try to improve it for next time.

I have a new pc now and the only video editing software I have is what came with it and is not so great. But send me what you have and I will see what I can do...

There is a weekend in oct. that I want to go again but I don't think funds are going to let me...

All GM show next Sunday in Florence

There's an All GM Car Show next Sunday the 29th at Wyler Buick/GMC starting at 9:30am. It's only a couple miles from my house so I may well enter it for the hell of it. If I do I may end up being the only Gen5 Camaro there since most of the cars I think will be 50's-60's-70's-80's but it'll be nice to check all those out anyway. Anyone else planning to go?

That many, huh? Not sure why I bother asking in this section; as far as I can tell this area is about the deadest when it comes to events and/or participation in them.

Whole lot of nothing going on....anyone go to National Trails? I'm thinking about going out Friday night this week or next, weather permitting. I've only been there once with my car, and I need to better my time desperately. Ran a 13.44

I need to do a time trial as well, but need to get a intake first. Anyone know a good place to get one? looking at k&n, Airaid, roto-fab. What intake do you have?

I have a Hennessey intake http://www.hennesseyperformance.com/hpecoairinwh.html

It was on the car when I bought it and is very similar to a bunch of the others.
Just do an advanced search in the V8 engine, exhaust, and bolt-on section and you'll find all you ever want to know about intakes.

I think I'm going back to National Trails this Friday, I'll post up how I do.

Well this place has been rather...dead.

My car will probably be put away here in a couple weeks. I have some winter projects that I am a little anxious to start .

Hi guys! I agree that it's been dead in here! Hopefully that means that everyone's been outside enjoying the great weather :-)

My car is filthy from the last road trip and I've been putting off getting him cleaned up as that usually means I'll be tucking Merlin away for his long winter nap - very sad!

Right now the weather isn't looking bad for another week or so - yes, I am a good procrastinator when it comes to stuffing the car away!

My car is filthy and in pieces. I wen't the the LSX Shootout and messed my driveshaft up. Not from racing though, just from the drive to an from. I hope to have mine fixed in the next couple of weeks. I only put about 1,000 miles on it this year, I would like to actually drive it more before winter.
