2012 Camaro SS?

Are they still making a 2012 Camaro SS? I've heard all about the Z28 and ZL1 models but nothing on the SS. When are they supposed to be releasing info on this? I'm hoping to pick one up at the end of the year.

There has been NO information released about a Z28 at all and YES there will be a 2012 SS which you should be able to order very soon.

There haven't been any major announcements because there are most likely no major changes to the 2012 SS. The LT/LS is getting a new engine, the ZL1 is a brand new model. And the SS, stuck in the middle, was ignored

Just to add to the new options for the SS(2SS and 2LT specifically) is that it will also be getting a Rear View Camera option that will display in the rear view mirror in addition to the new FE4 Performance Suspension. You can also get more details on the media.gm.com site as well. It should have documents on all the new models and packages like the ZL1 and 45th Anniversary package as well as the 2012 model year Honor and Valor Camaro which is only orderable during this month with a production limit of 100 with 99 of them being available for purchase. Check out www.gmmilitarydiscount.com for the full details.

No, just for the V6's with a 11 HP gain.

Basically all the performance gains will be in handling, no real power.
