If there is a way to keep the Chevelle then do it and get the ZL1.
If not Sell it Outright to some one, wont get what you want at the
dealer as a trade in.

That is an awsumm looking Chevelle !! !

Oh! Did I mention, the ZL1 has very comfortable seats... This will serve you well when you are banished to the doghouse...

No. Keep the chevelle since it is a numbers matching car. If you do decide to part with it then sell it, do not trade it in. Wait and save up then get a really nice used ZL1 or get a leftover '13 next year.

Hell NO!! ZL-1's are a dime a dozen these days and plenty out there to be had. A classic like the 70 not so much I'd have to work it out to be able to have both cause you'll regret parting with the chevelle once the new car smell is gone

Just remember that the people that have fond memories of a 1970 Chevelle are dying everyday. (i.e. you were 20 to 30 years old in 1970 so now you're 60 to 70 years old) The value will peak, then it will go down and down quickly. Unless you have sentimental value in the car, it's an asset. Best to sell the asset at the best price when you can.

My wife says if I get another car I have to sell one That why I needed all of your advise. My only Vice is cars and sometimes can't get that itch scratched. I had the car appraised in 2008 for $60,000.00 but I know the market was hit with the economy. I would need $46,000.00 if I were to sell it to purchase a ZL1. Thinking, Thinking, Thinking...
