Oh my F-ing God I want to freaking throw up!
I would love to get Megan nice and dirty, sand all around her hips, but man I gotta set her on fire or sand her down, apply a layer of primer, a good THICK coat of black paint and about 4 shots of clear after I do that! Glad you had fun though. How good was your traction OP? Have a friend say she went mudding one day. Drove by her house and her camaro was coated in mud. She's got more balls than me! Lol

What I would've honestly done is do a 360 spin. Now that would be worth all the washing! Well...

Holy smokes. I'll admit it, I'm on the fence now as to whether or not a few minutes of fun was worth the effort to clean this thing back up to par.
I've now put 12 hours into recovery. Powerwashed the bottomside a lot... but kept seeing muddy water pour out. Finally, there was no denying the fact that I needed to remove a lot of bodywork in order to get it all. These pics were taken this afternoon... I followed the highly informative instructions on the C5 DIY forums regarding how to remove the rear splitter and the rear fascia... that information was awesome and invaluable! I could NOT have done the job without that info. It has now been reassembled... and it's clean... inside and out! |

... and, in case anybody was wondering: The rear of the car got 98% of the dirt... for obvious reasons. The front, including the engine area, was hardly even defiled... only a very light dusting. Everything on the bottom of the rig--- suspension, frame, etc.--- easily washed clean. I don't have much in the way of oil or grease to grab and hold the dirt.
The interior probably took two hours... in spite of closed windows and AC off. |

Done... finally done. I easily put 15 hours into cleaning. However, the final product, clean clean clean, inside, outside, upside, downside, the whole freakin' thang, washed, scrubbed detailed, waxed, vacuumed, scrubbed, caressed, and set on a lonely desert highway for your viewing pleasure (well, actually, for my selfish desires, but whatever!):

OP. good job. Now, since you used a camaro to go "4wheeling" in the mud, you should now do the opposite and get a Jeep Wrangler and drag race it!! we know a camaro can go off road, but how good is Jeep Wranger down the 1/4 mile? lol

I'll admit, taking a Camaro offroad might be a little bit of a shame... but having an offroad beast that never gets to do ITS thang, now THAT'S a damn shame! |
