That is a good indication that GM knows you ordered. However, it has else to do with your order. You order number for tracking purposes is a 6-digit alpha-numeric (something like NGHFXX). GM is pulling order basically a month at a time. If you didn't get pulled in the first consensus, then you will have to wait until April, etc, etc.

thanks, that makes sense. the order number on the paperwork from the dealer is a six digit codem but the number on the picture i got from GM was nine. anyhow, as long as it is in there i know i will get it sooner or later, thanks again

My dealer called me on Wed 2/18 and said I was due to have mine by the last week in March or first week of April.

I will be highly PISSED if it was!!! I made it quite clear to my dealer from day one if I didn't have my car by the end of April I would wait till next year. I'm twitching like a crack fiend waiting for my car!!! LOL

your dealer should be able to tell you right now how many he got in the first consensus allocation. If he got none, then he's BSing you. If he got 1 or 2 then they'll be v8's and he's BSing you. V6 constraint MAY be lifted for April that that only leaves 4 weeks to build it and deliver it. That's stretching it.

I have ordered a LS and I am at status 2051. Order changed. I am the first V6 at my dealer, so as soon as the constraint is lifted Mine will be the next one in...
UPDATE:
Fbodfathers post started there was no constraing on sold v6 orders, just on the ones any dealers may want to order for their inventory if they have any allocations left.

Out of the blue - I got a call Friday from my dealer and my order was "released" if that is the proper word. All I know is I was one of the first 4 cars that will be pulled from his dealership for the March production.....with the constraints I moved up and was number 4......I am like a kid in a candy store right now.....I thought I was going to be late summer now I am just hoping the snow is gone in May. Not complaining I am glad I am in the first run for many reasons. My code should be changing.

If you make a change with certain things you want on or with the car does you number get changed and pushed back?

your event code will change (mine went from 1100 to 2051, 2050 is a change, the 1 means I have made one change in my order, if I was to go back and make another change it would change to 2052. etc...), but your order will stay put until it starts moving up the event chain...

TODAY FEBUARY 24TH-----BECAUSE INFO FROM MY dealer is not coming i decided to call that number-----i spoke to a very nice man---i asked him if he could track my order--he said yes but i added that i didnt want him to call my dealership that i didnt want to rock the boat with them------cause what they do is call your dealership to get the info youre looking for. then your dealership gets mad cause youre asking anothere source for info on your order. but after repeated attempts with your dealer to get info what else is one to do.

so i told him that i thought dealers were to submit their orders today.
for the week of march 16th to 23rd.

im number 2 at my dealer an SS/RS---number one is a v-6 on constraint----yet since january 3rd ive been at 1100 an as far as i know am still at 1100--ive gotten no word what so ever from my dealer.

the man at gm said he assures me he wont contact my dealer to get my status--but he will take him about an hour to call the depts. nessacary to track down my car--he took my call back number --an here i sit waiting again

Did the same about a month ago, they called me back saying car does not start production until 3/16, waste of time. until after 3/16 bit if u hear diff let us know
