OK, thanks for the explanation. I'll be sure to take it off then.

Okay so i finally got the set up correct and routed the way I want. Hopefully I will see some type of change. I've barely caught an ounce since i bought my elite can in 2013. Don't think it's too unusual since I haven't driven over 4k miles since then.

Every other fill up check your clean side separator for anything in the tube connecting. Some have found oil residue due to partial vacuum created by the connection to the IPF inlet. I have put a check valve in the line so air only goes into the engine through the separator. I haven't had the problem on my car but have seen a couple have oil residue sucked back into the IPF inlet tube and settle on the mass flow sensor creating a problem. Just check every so often.

Thanks...I have checked it before and have found oil residue there, also at the other end (where the elbow was not all the way in the inlet) as well. Hopefully there's not too much..

do you have a one way check valve from the top of the intake manifold, so when boost is built it does not push pressure through the can?

There is a check valve in the fitting...as I talked to Steve from elite that as I understand....does not push pressure through the can.

How do you like the one-piece driveshaft, and did you notice a performance difference ?

That said I would recommend the DSS if you're supercharged, ST, or TT. Unless you can find one used which is rare, I wouldn't get it for a NA car. Not worth the cost IMO.

Nothing major but now utilizing the third port on my elite like I should be. Instead of just drilling into the hose (pre sc) and using RTV etc I found where viper performance (based out of England) sells a self tapping breather fitting. I like this fitting because it seals to the hose better than using gasket maker imo. As per elite, I place the check valve flowing away from the can.
