Does a Scoop really make that big of difference?
I think im going to get a CAI intake for my V6 Camaro. Thing is I was wondering if a Scoop with really make that big of difference? I know it add a few more hp but I really don't want to have to relocate the windshield fluid bottle. Not only that but I do not have the tools, knowledge, or trust to install the Air Intake myself so I unfortunately will have to have a shop do it. And I know if they have to relocate the washer bottle it's going to drive up the price.

for the CAI Inc one yes it does make a difference. but you are a V6 you have the option of a Vanaram one that doesn't need it at all.
it already has straight shot.

pretty sure you will not regret getting the scoop and washer relocate kit.
is there a good sized Camaro club near you? i'm sure someone local would help you out. shouldn't take longer than an hour to install the intake and the scoop.

oh, and most shops charge by the hour. especially if it's a short job, like an intake. they will probably charge you a full hours worth of work, even if it takes them 15 minutes to do. so might as well have them install the scoop as well. shouldn't cost any more.

Now im thinking about getting the Vararam...what do you guys think? The Vararam is cheaper and should add 25-30hp and 1/2 sec 0-60 less according to the site. But some people only reported 15-18 hp gain. Either way do you guys think it would be better to go with Vararam becuase now that's what I'm leaning towards especially for only $350 compared to $400 or $450 for CAI with Scoop.

vararam is a good option. not sure about those claims, but a decent intake. I say you can't go wrong with vararam, CAI, injen, roto-fab

Easiest Mod there is. Go to the hardware store and buy a couple of screw drivers. It took me less than 30 minutes to install my CAI intake. Just read and follow the instructions. Half the fun of doing Mods is installing them yourself.

Ice Cream is optional but helps with the Install IMO.
