Oops, I just sent Aaron an email asking if he wanted to try and do a group by. I guess I should have read the forums first. He probably doesn't care either way, so I'll see if I can't get the order numbers, too.

Either way. I was planning on doing something anyway, more sets typically = cheaper price, like you mentioned. I brought my extra LFX engine home, in my garage so I can spend lots of time with it Building for boost now!

Bought the extra engine used or new, and for how much?

I shopped around for a year before I finally bought "the one"... It was $995 shipped, out of a 2012 caddy with 6k miles on it

So, the much awaited update on the LF3 pump. Aaron had to fit a lashcap to it and then we had the boost issue (spring pressure only). After we replace the boost controller, the issue persisted. It turned out to be the solenoids. Finally, Ryan got to do some street tuning on it and...drum roll...We can run 18 psi without using the supplemental fuel system. So, it looks like the LF3 HPFP can supply all the fuel we need up to the power level I am making. However, we haven't had it back on the dyno yet to confirm we are still making 650 RWHP, so for that we will just have to wait until Ryan gets caught up on some other projects. I'm pretty optimistic though.

The problem with the LLT is that the high-strength fuel lines are different. You can bend them to fit, but I would assume that would weaken them. Other than that, I think the right lashcap should make it work on the LLT as well. The question is, can it be tuned after that?

That's great news! Sooo do plan on trying to up the boost some more and see where the LF3 HPFP will run out of fuel? Or does it already seem maxed out at your power level and you will need the supplemental fuel system again to go higher?

Don't really know. I've been swamped at work so I didn't get to be there for the testing. I'm not opposed to running it up as high as ~720 RWHP to see if we can max it out, but it isn't in my plans right now. I want to make sure I'm still making about 650 RWHP and then focus on the throttle opening issue for now. That's holding me back way more then another 50-70 RWHP is.

A couple of things I should mention. I'm running a ZL1 in-tank pump so others may not get as much out of the HPFP with the stock pump. Also, we have no clue where the ZL1 pump and the injectors will max out. DI is more efficient than PI, but still we should be very close to the max on the in-tank pump at 650 RWHP. The injectors should be about the equivalent of 80 lb injectors on a V8 but we may be able to get more power than an equivalent PI V8 because of the direct injection. It's all guess work right now.
