Those stripes are vinyl, and vinyl or any plastic collects a slight static carge which of course will attract dust more than metal. Take from a Corvette owner (they are all plastic you know), they just attact a little dust. That is unless you live in the Pacific Northwest like I do, then the rain washes it right off.

Of course you can see dust on dark stripes faster... dust is light in color dark stripes are... well i hope you get it.

Just a california duster to knock the dust off. No need wasting detail spray to rub swirl marks into your paint or vinyl.

If you have dust then get rained on, wash.

Very simple.

I thinK ICE is more expensive than meguiar's. I used to use ICE but I hated how long it took to wipe off. I switch to Meguiar's in 2006 and haven't looked back. As long as you maintain your layer of wax all the products go on and off easily.

http://www.ardexwax.com/Product_Page.html#Wax

check out this link, they have a product for about every possible need.
typically i detail using almost strictly VIPER wax which goes on and comes off super fast, if you screw up and hit pourus plastic it wont screw you and stain it. I can wax my black camaro in about 30 minutes top to bottom and no ill effects with streaking or anything. I also use nu-wave cleaner which can be diluted 20/80 for cleaning everything from rims to stains in interior. they sell a clear coat sealant which is what auto butler charges you 200 bucks for. btw a whole gallon bottle of viper is 25 bucks. lasts me about a year and i wax about 50 to 70 cars out of it roughly.

anything you can purchase at walmart is not even close to professional quality. save your money and find someone that sells ardex in your area. they typically sell to detailers only but I am sure you can google a rep in the area and most will come to you with a truck and sell you whatever you want. plus they can tell you which products will work best on your application. I have been detailing cars for 22 years and have tried just about everything on the market at one point or another and ardex is the best I have found.
Ice cream comes around the neighborhood in a truck and it sure as heck isn't better than a Blizzard from Dairy Queen.

Dale Jr arrives at the race track in a truck and he gets worse every sunday (I'm a Dale Jr fan, but I'm also a realist).

Taco/Burrito vendors come in trucks and people are always getting food poisoning from them.

Snap-On Tools come in a truck and they're no better than Craftsman in my experience.

So, just because a guy comes to you in a truck and says his products are good, doesn't mean Jack S**t and Jack has done left town. The guy in the truck works on commision and will tell you anything you want to hear so he can get a paycheck.

ICE products were recommened to me years ago by a friend of mine who restores classic cars for a living. I trust his opinion, not some guy in truck.
