Gold wheels anyone?
I'm trying to figure out what I'm going to do with the wheels on my car when I get it (another 3 weeks). I've always been a fan of gold wheels so I did a quick photoshop to see what the stock RS wheels would look like painted a similar shade of gold as the bowtie. Ideally I'd want to do a set of gold mesh style wheels like the Hennessey car had. HRE or Kinesis would do them but they'd probably be about $10k...
P.S. this photo was taken from the IMB wallpaper thread by jcamere94z28 |

i wouldn't call it rice. Perhaps on a black car with some gold pin-stripe down the side....
and i would remind all the nay-sayers and people who think that's "rice", "stupid", "doesn't belong on an American car" whatever......1999 Pontiac Grand Prix GT Gold Edition...gold rims with thin gold striping down the bottom of the doors, its currently the car i have |

You'd need to do the rest of the chrome, like the badges and taillight trim gold. Then it might be good. The way it is? No. It looks like you slapped some gold wheels on your car.

Eeehhh, how about this?
Also on gold, I'm with Tron. For people immediately getting negative on gold, Big Red looks incredible with gold wheels. Not to mention Year One |

I think it sets the car off nicely. accents the chevy badge on the front.

Nah...
Sorry, I'm just not feelin' it. Maybe on a white or black car, but not the blue.

gold/bronze on a blue car is soo subby. imo the only why ur gona rock gold/bronze rims is on a black or white car, and the rims them selves have to be a mesh/multi spoke type.
