Question 3" Factory Exhaust and Headers for '14 1LE...

I was just wondering if GM would offer the 3" dual mode exhaust system with hydro-formed headers and higher flowing cats from Z/28 as an option on the 1LE for '14 model year?

Will the headers for the LS7 work on LS3 exhaust ports? Not sure if this will be an issue or not, someone with some knowledge please chime in if they might know if this is feasible or not. I think it would be a welcomed performance option since we are also getting the Recaro seats inside the car as an option in '14.

It would be a great option for the folks in Cali and other states who must past a visual inspection for smog equipment. Let GM know how you feel since they did promise shorty headers at the launch as a GMPP option.

Just being out in Cali I can see this being useful. But other than that I don't think it's really worth it. It would probably be more expensive of an option than just buying headers and a cat back after you purchase the car knowing how much GM charges for this stuff.

GM did say it was to improve performance and the sound quality on the Z/28. I would love to have the option with a warranty (it is important to some for a little while at least) If long tubes was not a option due to regulations for some.

You are going to be able to buy all parts separatly...but at what cost??

The best option is going to be buying just the headers and aftermarket HFC with the stock dual mode catback...No CEL with a warranty and more HP, sounds great!!!

GM would need some exclusivity to the Z/28. I would say the ZL1 would get the exhaust and not the 1LE but I could be wrong.

I seriously doubt any changes to the exhaust aside from the NPP option. And everyone keeps losing sight of the fact that the 1LE is an SS option. So it would affect ALL of the 1SS and/or 2SS cars, not just the "1LE's". Everyone keeps acting like the 1LE is it's own model...it's not.

But the 1LE comes equipped with stuff you cannot get on a regular SS, regardless if it's a 1SS or 2SS so it's totally relevant.
