What camera are you using? So much details, I like!

Nope, my dealer said anything outside of internal work or a tune they'd cover warranty stuff no questions asked.

Also, all it would really show on your ECU is that you were pushing the loud peddle deeper into the carpet.

Also, nice upgrade OP

I run mine on SP7. Definitely wakes up the throttle response over stock big time

Arkentect - Thanks for coming to my defense, but I don't need it. 9 years in the Marines and you build up a thick skin. I don't let "one uppers" get to me. I see them for what they are.. That being said, I tried severalcsettings, and I lIke SP7. I t really makes her jump and is still manageable. HUGE difference in launching.

Vinman -Thanks for manning up and the apology, Don't sweat it Devil Dog, it's all good...

Sanjay - I'm surprised it took you this long to jump on here!

Olddudes rule - I think you're spot on in saying the mileage difference will more likely be a result of changed driving style.. I know my mileage has dropped considerably! Hahaha

Thank for all the input everyone (mostly) I just posted this thread to let the other V6ers know this was a worthwhile upgrade.. Just like when I posted my "Catch Can BELIEVER" thread
There is a great wealth of knowledge on here that we can draw on..
I know I hAve in the past 7 weeks!!

It's nothing too bad. I've got 315 Michelin PSS's on the back too which definitely help over my old Invos. It spun a little before the 3.91s with just the VTC and the gears certainly increased it, but as I said it's nothing crazy. Just had to bump the VTC down slightly. Of course, from bone stock it's a big difference, I didn't spin at all while stock.

Sorry I have a question for anyone... What does it mean if the CAI says for lfx? And does it matter if its used? I mean is there a certain amount of miles you wouldn't want?

The LFX is the designation for the V6 in the 2014 and 15 models.
The earlier V6 was the LLT
I have a K&N, but most seem to feel the CAI brand is a better set up since it and enclosed box

I would think that if it's a good name brand, you could clean and lightly re oil the filter and be good to go.
What brand are you looking at and how much?
There are a couple K&N listed in the for sale section here on the forum that at close to $150 or less.
It retails for $296 and I got in for $231 and thought I got a good deal

It is that k&n there for 150. I mean if the CAI and the other one are way better I'd probably rather go that way but I mean $150 is pretty solid

In my personal opinion: the K&N did perform decently, but I returned it simply because i didn't completely isolate the intake filter from the rest of the engine bay. While monitoring air intake temps, they stayed low while driving, but went up about 1 degree every 2-3 seconds while stopped.

I ended up returning the K&N for a full refund, and purchased the CAI from a member on here (thanks Dvotaw!). It is so much better looking, and the construction/design is far superior to the K&N and similar brands, and far less stationary heat soak.
