Ouchy. that is a horrible sound! A good rim shop can fix that rim, and check if its bent. Cant do anything about that tire though. Good luck.

looks like it cut the rim protector part of the tire, not a structural part. make sure no cords are cut or any bulging of the tire.

Increase air pressure. Provides quite a bit of rim protection.

These wheels are pretty sturdy (given they are forged). Curbed my car pretty hard once and seems fine. Took quite a huge scratch out of the rim though.

I had a 4x4 fall off a trailer in front of me and that took out two wheels and two tires. Still fighting with their insurance as they cannot believe it was $2500 in damage..... Check the wheel, it could be bent, if it is, toss it IMO. tire looks ok though as long as not into the cord area as others suggested.

31 warm is fairly low. I've been experimenting with pressures for a few months now and I'm at 36 to 37 warm (32 to 33 cold ... keeps changing with temp and hard to keep consistent).

I'm fully up to temp after 5 minutes and halfway there at 2 minutes. Highway obviously helps speed up the process (I get on 287 after 1.5 miles of driving (about 3 minutes).

You've got to be down near 25/26 PSI cold to warm up to only 31 ... you are asking for rim damage at that pressure.

I recently replaced my stock goodyears at 17,000 miles and had them set to 36psi cold. While the new tires have improved the ride, I have heard positive things regarding running the higher pressures in regards to ride and increased tread life.

I paid Xtra for tire and wheel protection since our wheels are so expensive.

Yeah but w/ my experiences so far its a PITA to get it fixed. I got quoted on like a 2-3 week turnaround time w/o having the camaro.
