For anyone who is at 4150 or higher........

If you're at 4150 or higher, then your dealer should have the invoice for your car.
You can complete the sale if you so choose at this point.

That's what I did with my C/E.
My dealer got the invoice about 1 month before the car came in. I completed the sale in order to take advantage of the low finance rates that were being offered.

The process is no different, other than the car not being there.

I just wanted to throw this out there in case anyone wanted to take advantage of it.

Wouldn't you want to check it over before you sign for it?

Ya...I would warn against this. What if something is wrong when the car arrives? I would not pay until you see your car and have taken it for a test drive.

Invoices are not up yet not sure why I check everyday on not just my order but some of the ones I know are 4300 and still no invoice. They can sell the car because they have a vin but would not know the exact price yet. This is the longest I have see to not have an invoice once it is built.

cars are like women, some are old, some are new, some get turned on easily some need a lot more help, some you just wanna drive into the river, some you can't wait to get inside of, some are expensive to maintain, some are low maintenance, however if you treat them right, you'll have her for the rest of your life.....

FYI: Also, when you "complete the sale" your warranty clock starts "ticking".

I just want to know if anyone out there has gotten their car yet besides Rick Hendrick. Must be nice to have the right connections!!!!!!!

With a vin# you could come in and APPLY for financing etc to secure an approval which is good for 30 days. the % rates will still be favorable next month etc but if you wanted to get the ball rolling I suppose you could do it this way. I dont pay or sign before I see the vehicle and drive it and Im the dealer............. just how I like to do it...Im just saying..........

You guys need to have your dealer look at that status again. I was also told that I was at 4800 and shipped until I read another thread.
If you look close you will see that the status is 4B00 or 4 B 00

I don't know what that means but hopefully someone can shed a little light on that status.

I thought that 4150 was "dealer invoiced" and 4200 was "shipped"

Mine shows 4104 as the last update prior to 4B00

Oh well

Robin

I think when they say it's been "bayed", that it just means the car was parked in a parking spot awaiting pick-up. For some reason, they call a parking spot a "bay". I'd bet those spots, or "bays" have numbers on them so the plant, truckers, shipping companies, railroad, etc. know where the car is parked.
