ok so, no offense but how is this special to a camaro owner?
also I googled RPO code and found some neat info. One site said this

"RPO" is an acronmyn used by General Motors to denote a "Regular Production Option". Generally speaking an RPO code consisted of a letter followed by two numbers. RPO Z28 is probably the most famous of them all (package of high performance goodies for Camaros). Other examples include air conditioning, tinted glass, fancier interiors, etc.

What it does is add to the collectability of these cars. There will only be about 14,000 that have the RP6 code, so in the future these will be sought after. Or so the theory goes...

I've been trying to refrain... I actually think I've been doing a pretty good job as of late. I had my moments... I thought I was over them...

THEN...

I went Saturday to see car #3 at my dealership that showed up on Friday...

Then I went to watch the draft and drank- so all was good.

THEN...

I saw Selena on Friday, and Scott today, get their cars shipped...

And I said, well, the worst I guess is 10 more days since that's how long after their cars got to Pontiac that mine did...

THEN...

I saw that car #5361 was listed as in transit today...

And I somewhat freaked out somewhere else because I needed to vent that a car 3000+ cars after the "problems" were found had shipped and meanwhile the "problem cars" are just trickling out of Pontiac, MI like no one gives a damn about making them a priority...

THEN...

I'm reminded here that not only am I in the "under 1000" crowd but I'm in the "under 100" crowd and that indeed lot cars will be available before they bother to fix ALL the cars in Pontiac...

And I no longer wonder why GM is in trouble; worse, I no longer care that they are. Way to go GM.

I hear that the GM bondholders are asking for early production Camaros instead of that lousy stock deal they have been offered.

I ordered 11/10/08 and received my print and order no. early January and as of this moment I'm exhausted with the wait. I only get on the web for updates twice a week at best, any more than that only causes frustration. I would be happy to hear G.M. say "Hey Yoda" your car will be at the dealer August 1, instead of the lack of info from the dealer and all the rumors. I'm going to change my handle to "yogurt" because I just don't know. I called my dealer 2 weeks ago and was told 6,000 cars will be built for the showrooms before any orders are filled, then I get on this forum and hear a few cars are being delivered. Excuse my burnout!!! Hell the dealers know less. The only thing more depressing is hearing the Gov. owns 50%, Gore will have squirrels under the hood. All in all this forum is good for laughs, however it'll be much better when everyone can talk about the new Camaro in drive. Thanks for lending an eye!

I would go for that. As a bondholder with bonds that mature in june 2009 with a 25.00 per value now trading at 4.00, I would gladly trade for a Camaro.

RPO code means= REALLY PISSED OFF!!!!
Pissed that you ordered on 10/29 and your dealer gets his floor car this week while I am at 3000. Pissed that your manual transmission may now be on hold for issues. Of course there is the bright side of this--no caliper weights. For saying that I will get my car with no calipers!!!
