Leasing Deals 2010-11

I was in my local dealership and was told I can get a decked out SS/RS for around 500.00 plus tax (3k). This was with no negotiations. Has anyone leased an SS 2010-2011 and if so what kind of deal did you get?

I was told that the residual is 60% for the 2011 models. Accoding to my calculations (if right).

40k car.

60% residual

Payments are 16k spread out over 39 months. 410.00
3k for taxes which are rolled into payment - I'm at 486 with 0 down.

Does this sound right.

Thanks

You can get gap through your own insurance.

whatever you get the lease for, you can probably buy for about $100/month more (with about a 4% finance rate)

that's what I found out at least......and the reason I bought

Ok first question. Why would you want to lease a Camaro?

Yes but at a longer term. Leasing is a pretty good deal for people that only hold onto a car for two or three years.

I just bought my Camaro 2 weeks ago and was told there are no rebates or leasing on the Camaro because it is a "hot"car.

So you want to pay for a car you'll never own? Might as well get a rental car... at least that way you're not restricted by mileage (so long as you get a deal that gives you freedom). Leasing a car means that you have all sorts of restrictions and I'm not ok with that. I pay just a tad more than your calculations and get to keep the car.

If you are offered a lease you BETER ask for the end of lease terms and conditions..... Those can get very costly.

That seems off to me. I was looking at $640 a month to lease a 2ss/rs for 39 months.

He did not list the $ down...... Usually the fine print of a lease states $XXXX down+TTL.

No, it sounds off...maybe there's a massive down payment involved. They quoted me some higher rates for a 1LT/RS on a 2010 a couple months ago. Easier just to buy.
