When would you expect a Z/28 reveal?

SEMA opens tomorrow with other shows following in the next few months. Is is possible a Z can be revealed at SEMA or one of the other shows?

My guess is that it will be released in January (If we get one). I found it interesting that they are going to make the ZL1 brakes available through the dealers. It's looking more and more like we will have to build our own Z28.

I agree, if there is a release, I would look to the Detroit International Auto Show in January.

I find the V8 Performance concept interesting. It seems like it would cut into the 1LE sales if it is made available. The V6 version is a great idea and fits in with the track pack idea.

What makes you say the Z will be a build your own car for gen 5?

The ZL1 brakes being offered through dealers makes me go hmmmmm. Recipe; take a 1LE add your own ZL1 brakes, ZL1 aero & Crate LS7 = $47K? After selling parts.

While i agree there will be no Z28 it is not because we have a ZL1. I suspect we will see both in the gen 6 lineup, one NA and the other FI.

If the ZL1 was a Z/28, GM wouldn't have change the name...

I am not sure that they would announce a Z/28 at the same show they are going to debut the C7 Corvette...hmmmm or maybe they could, with the debut of that car, it would be a tell tale sign for things to come if the 5th Gen Z/28 shares the same motor as the C7?

That's true. Wouldn't want to steal any spotlight from the C7.
