Gaming in 3D – 3DTVs – R U Ready?
There is a lot of talk about 3D gaming this year, and it appears to be right around the corner!
Are you ready to pull the trigger on going 3D? Do you think 3D gaming is just a new fad that will fizzle out in a year or two? I know I’m going to wait at least a year after this stuff is out in all the stores before I even consider buying. Even then I might wait another year for the prices to become reasonable! <Looks like a typo on the Black Ops info!> |

I could have bought the 3D Samsung LED when I bought my current 55" Samsung LED but I wanted to wait for a while to make sure the bugs were worked out and for more programming to become available in 3D.
I will probably wait for another year at least before I pull the trigger on a 3D set up. |

We bought the Panasonic 65 inch plasma with 3D a few months ago. The set is truly amazing in 2D and 3D. I personally love 3D and IMO no one beats the Panasonic at this time plus they have a good size.
I have played a few 3D games and it is good but rather watch movies in 3D. I am not much of a fame person. Here is ours Last edited by Indpowr; 10-11-2010 at 11:26 AM. |

I think its a fad that will fade in a year or two. Though if they start making 3D TV's that don't require the goofy space goggles (maybe something like the Nintendo 3DS's tech) I may get one in the future if they turn out well. Read on engadget or some tech forum a few months ago that one company was supposed to have 2-3 models like this out by years end, though it was only up to 19" sizes.

Going to wait till the tech is more perfected and doesn't cost an arm and a leg. While I'd definitely prefer a glasses free set up, I'm not horrible opposed to 3D TVs that require glasses (unless they require the $150+ pair that all the current models use).

Also 3D TV shipments to reach 50 million in 2015, says ABI Research. There is a reason so many movies come out in 3D |

A mix of things.
1. Motion sickness 2. Annoying sunglasses 3. Overpriced movies/products

Gotcha, yeah movies (even withOUT 3D) are way overpriced these days. I mean, the theaters bombard you with advertisements every second you're in the there... you'd THINK they could afford to pass on the extra earning from those adds to us customers

Everything is overpriced this day and age. You spend a small fortune to go to any professional sporting events.

3D gives me migraines. Motion sickness I can deal with. Migraines ruin the entire experience.

Man, I would probably do the 3d thing if I could. Had some pretty severe eye surgery some years back that has screwed up my depth perception. 3d Usually doesn't work for me anymore. Besides, I am pretty sure this fad will die down before too long...

I'm avoiding the current 3D tech. The current 3D tech requiring those 3D glasses has been proven to causes migraines, and increase eye strain causing peoples eyesight to fail at an earlier age.
Once they improve the tech and get it to where you don't have to wear those glasses then I will look into it, not till then. |
