Grease on the rims

While admiring the amount of brake dust on my wheels, I noticed a bunch of grease slung on the inside surface. It's heaviest in one spot but there are deposits around the entire circumference. I noticed some when I first cleaned the car after delivery and just figured it was leftover from assembly or something, but now that I see more and just on one wheel (driver rear), I think I have my first problem with the car. I've already scheduled service but was just curious if anyone else has seen this on their car.

Yup. Check the boot.

Just heard back from the dealer. Apparently, it's not just the boot but the axle. I was told the problem is common enough that dealers are being told to replace both to avoid replacing boot after boot :(

I imagine that this might be what had the cars on 'Hold' before they were released if it is a common problem.
