Car cover suggestions?

New to the forum. Got my camaro about two months ago and I'm looking for a car cover. Bills had to be paid and our driveway was just redone to make room for it so I didn't have time to get on yet. I know, excuses excuses my baby deserves better =(

I was wondering if anyone has any suggestions. I don't think I can pony up for the $350 one from GM and I've looked around at a couple sites to see whats out there. I live in Maryland so we get everything from 100+ degree summers to strong winds, to snow, to everything else you can think of.I'm looking to spend at around $220.

Any advice or suggestions? I've looked at these sites:

http://www.pfyc.com/pc/CA8001/CAPRO/...10+Camaro.html

http://www.vipcarcovers.com/2010-che...ar-covers.html

http://www.carcoversdirect.com/produ...0/CAMARO/SS/4/

http://www.empirecovers.com/shop/aut...Camaro&fls=yes

I just dont know what to do

I just coverd my car for the winter yesterday. I bought this http://www.autoanything.com/car-cove...0A3192711.aspx. The price was right and it fits the car snug. I also bought a lock for extra security. There is a member on here that had his cover stolen off of his car. I can't believe someone stole it....

Check out the "Technical Camaro Topics" section - http://www.camaro5.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=52. I have a feeling your post may get moved there anyway. Many different opinions. From what I've read, be very glad you didn't get the cover GM offers anyway.

Do you need an outdoor cover or just an indoor dust cover?
Sounds like you need an outdoor cover...

I was stupid and bought the Camaro one, and honestly it really doesn't do anything other then keep bigger stuff off the car. Water gets under it over the entire car, dust gets under it, for 350$ you'd expect something waterproof.

HUH? You have to be kidding right???

I bought the GM one and I couldnt be happier cos its the FIRST car cover that is WATERPROOF that I came accross!!

I have tried to leak water through it. The water just rolls off it. Ive even created a small pool of water with it and it holds it tight.

My ONLY bitch about it is that it could be taller and completely cover the wheels. What were GM thinking on that one Derrr.

Anyway as for scratches, I cannot verify this as I never put it on and then off to check but rest assured, GM will be getting an invoice for respraying is I find a scratched caused by their cover.

GMpartsdirect.com price for the CAMARO car covers = $234 + Shipping & Handling (but I think free shipping is still in affect, so just $15.95 Handling Charge = $250 shipped.

I wasnt serious but I couldnt understand your post. Mine is 100% (within reason) waterproof. If its waterproof it will be dust proof.

Are yo usure you didnt buy a knock off on ebay or something?

Thanks for the advice guys, sorry I posted in the wrong area... still new to the forum. Ill look at it more in depth over the weekend but it still hasn't been 3 months since I got the car. I read another thread that says t owait that long before getting a cover to let the paint cure.

I need an outdoor one... unfortunately like I said, we get everything from snow to 100+ degree summer days.
