NPP Exhaust Tip Clean & Polsih tips
Hey Guys,
Just curious to know how you all have handled cleaning and polishing the perforated (on the inside) NPP Exhaust tips. Up until now i have settled for a lack luster finish when cleaning the tips using all wheel cleaner on them and some mothers metal polish. I'd really like to have them pop this spring! -Phil

I've done the same as you. Polish the outsides and use wheel cleaner on a brush for the inside, don't want to get polish crammed in the perforations. Not sure if it would hurt anything. I'm sure it would melt away but not taking the risk. That being said, I would assume they would just blacken back up after a few miles. Maybe someone else will chime in.

I use a product called Never Dull. It comes in a can and you pull out a cotton like wadding that cleans metal. Works really well.

Look into the Adams metal polish, they have a 2 step process to clean and really make the tips shine. It's a liquid polish and you don't have to worry about it getting into the perforated holes.

I've used Adam's Metal Polishes #1 followed up with #2. If working the product with an applicator isn't doing the job try a piece of 0000 steel wool as your applicator. 0000 steel wool won't scratch the stainless, but will be more aggressive on the soot and carbon to help in removal.

Thanks for the feedback everyone. I have been looking to try an Adam's product. Sounds like i might use their metal polish to make the leap over. Thanks again !
