Ah in that case... I wasnt aware he bidded on them. I guess when you have that much money to throw away, you can spend foolishly on cars like that.

Did you miss the part where it all of it usually goes to a charity?

IIRC hasn't he also given many of the cars he "wins" right back to the auction so they can auction them off again for even more charity money?

Street legal drag car

ZL1 rear end with the 427 and choice of auto or manual trans. People say drag racing is dying but the car counts at my local tracks say otherwise

Hell I am pretty sure i will see a few of these new Z/28s at the drag strip once they become available and the strip will probably be the only track they will see.

If I preferred drag racing I'd rather have a supercharged car. Give me the ZL1.

The amount of capital hes raking in, he HAS to give to charity. Otherwise he'd be taxed out the ass. Not saying he doesnt have good intentions or he's not a kind hearted person, just that it benefits him more to give than not to.

Depends on the class of racing you want

I like to bracket race so i would rather have the N/A 427 with a 6 speed (so it could be swapped for a glide or 400)

Easier to be consistent without boost

Whenever I asked my local dealership if they had any information on the Z/28 they told me stuff I already knew. But one sales associate estimated the Z/28 will cost around $65k.
