I just watch one of the car shows the other night and a guy was selling ,what he called a 67, that he had since 73. The thing was that is had no window vent. Is it possible that certain models or a late year change could have caused this? I Googled 67 camaros and found more that were list as 67s without the side vent.

68. 67s have no side marker light on the front quarter. 68's have the side marker light on the front quarter and no gills on the rear quarter. 69s have the gills on the rear and marker on the front.

Not likely especially from the factory (model year restrictions) , but anything is possible given enough time and $$$$$$$$$$. The '67 doors have mounting points for the vent window assembly, '68 doors do not. Internal structure/window tracks in the door are different so you can't remove the vent window assem. and put one-piece '68 door glass in a '67 door. They changed the door hinge design after the '67 MY, so you can't mount '67 doors on a '68 and can't mount '68 doors on a '67 without some fairly significant metal fabrication. Was there door glass in it? Is it possible that the vent window assembly had been removed for re-chroming or something and just wasn't installed at the time?

Yeah, it had door glass and he said it was completely original. That's why I was confused when he said it was a 67. That was the main why I always told the difference looking at the side. Strange. I'll see if I can find the show link.

It was on Extreme Auto Hunters. Unfortunately, they make you buy past episodes. This is the only pic of it that I could find without paying. It does show doors without window vents.

The mouldings/trim I've highlighted are part of the Z-21 Exterior Style Trim Group FOR 1968 Camaros Only! That trim was not around or available in '67. It appears someone doesn't know what year Camaro they have IMO.

Thanks, that's what I figured. I guess the so called expert buyer doesn't either.

These are both RS/SS equipped, however the Z-21 Exterior Style Trim Group is part of the RS package. So you can see the differences in the Z-21 trim between '67 and '68. Trim around window and rocker trim differences. (Note the Z-21 trim on the OP's post #1 picture of the '68 RS/SS)

That's part of the RS package. Non RS cars ('67, '68, and '69) have the reverse lights incorporated into the tail lights. RS cars had them under the rear bumper.
