I had about 5300 on my first 30gig Ipod. I now have a 160gig. I have 125,000 songs, 615gig on a hard drive. I am working a little bit at a time to transfer Just the classic rock to a file I can sync to Itunes and Ipod. Should end up with at least 20,000 songs on the 160gig with room to spare.
It took 22 hours to transfer the whole library from one drive to another with USB 2.0.

i never understood this
why load thousands of songs on to anything when you cant possibly listen to all or even close to all of them before you are back to your laptop or desktop to change or reload more? we spend tons of cash to have massave amounts of storage space but lets be real....your never ever going to listen to them all before your back to its home where you can load more and change the library so why pay so much for large storage? just seems impracticle....and thats comming from an IT major. take enough to use for 8 to 10 hrs and load more save the cash on the 4000G hard drive and drop it into something else(other mods). 5000000G ipods.....realy?....you need to carry all that...what you never go home? I stream my entire library from my house over a TRUE unlimited data network (grandfathered into ATT from back in 96') right to my car from my iphone. The technology is here to pop your smart phone in your car, set your house up to stream it, and never ever have to take all that with you. its 2012 |
