I'm probably going outside the dealer. Here is a suggestion:
Wally's Auto Tint Address: 3035 South 1st Street City: Garland State: Texas Phone: (972)840-8468 3M (non-metallic) Lifetime warranty - $190 35% front 20% rear

You may want to ask yourself if you want to pay the dealer price or save some $$ by going to an "expert" in tint installation. The quality is usually "good enough" at the dealer, but you probably would have more options to choose from at a dedicated tint shop.
Just remember one thing! The primary antenna for the car is in the rear window, so choose your tint for the rear window carefully. You don't want to degrade / block any signals. Of course you always have your XM / Onstar through the "shark fin" on top for use. |

make SURE it is not METALLIC if you do the back window, there was a thread on this, it screws up the defroster and the fm radio and will void warranty on those parts needs to be ceramic or something
other than that i would have mine done somewhere other than the dealer that is reputable |

Most dealers will send the car out to a tint shop.

This is a true statement, and what you might want to ask is where they get their tent done? OR are they throwing it in as part of the deal? My dealer sends his out to a repsected timt shop near him, he had my windows tinted for me and it didn't cost me any extra.

Depends on dealer. If tinting the back window, would definately go with dealer because if they mess up the Defrost/FM Antenna they are liable and have to cover under warranty. Plus most dealers offer life time warranty on tint. Atleast I know we do. And that's against bubbling, and purpling.

I'm going to get mine done at a tint shop. What % tints do you have on your car? Responses are welcome!

since I too am from texas, I did the LEGAL LIMIT on the doors, and went ONE SHADE DARKER on the quarter windows and the back. Its just enough so you can still see at night, and still do its job.

In Florida the limit is 15% .... Personally I'm going with 20% .... With my eyes getting older, much more than that gets hard for me to see at night ....

Get it done at the dealer, that way they can't complain about the back window antenna not working if they are the ones who installed it. I got mine done at the dealer, they have their own tint shop on site, I asked for as dark as is legal and of course the non-metalic which is the only type they use anyway. I got a package deal for tint and undercoating which they also did on site. You can't go wrong. Plus I got it in writing from them that the tint is "dark legal" in case I get stopped by the cops I'll show them the dealer paperwork that says so. The warranty for the tint is also through the dealer.
