I already posted this in another section of the forum, but I wanted to share this with those of you that might not have read through that thread.

I highly recommend researching through this forum for dealers with open allocations. I was able to locate a dealer (Becky Doyle, of Rodger's Chevrolet in Michigan, (734)-676-9600, who arranged for shipment to a local dealer in my home town in Northern Virginia, for a small fee. Becky was extremely pleasant to work with, and very friendly, and most importantly, VERY honest! She honored the credit union discount offered by GM http://www.gm.com/vehicles/currentoffers/. From date of order to date of production, only 35 days!

I second this. I was stuck at 1100 for 10 weeks and was ready to cancel my original order and reorder via Becky. She was very helpful and pleasant to work with. Just before reordering through her, my original order was accepted by GM. She was understanding and wished me well even though I did not complete the order through her. If you don't mind going to Detroit or having a car drop shipped, I recommend that you talk to Becky. You will be getting straight info and a good deal.

And I feel obligated to chime in...I also ordered with her and am very pleased!! She is phenominal to work with. What a great personality!! SHould be taking a road-trip in a few weeks to pick up my car from her. I have a TPW of 9/14.
Initial order placed Feb 09...still at 1100 in Aug 09...cancelled order..bad dealer! Ordered with Becky Aug 09 with open allocation...should pick up car soon!! If your still at 1100 and frustrated with dealer him-haw, call her!
