I will be watching this intently. The last part of my drivetrain to be upgraded will be the tr6060. I was adivsed that if all else is setup properly, and with a centri blower, the tremec is plenty stout to deal with gobs of HP. We will see as my clutch, diff, DS and axles are all being upgraded with GForce Engineering components this month. So, the last parts of the equation will be the tranny and the stroker motor. Lots of very reputable guys/gals on this site said the tr6060 is very stout and doesnt need any attention...we will see...

Not hijacking, but I just had a Tick level 2 build done.... I just installed it and will be installing my 9" kit this week... I will be giving a thorough review of this trans build once I get some miles on it... This should give people a couple reviews of what is out there are far these 6060s go...

wont be long and i will give u a good review on my Rpm Level 6... will be back pushing 850 rwtq through it ... i had 600 rwhp with my whipple for about 2 k miles and when i seent the tranny to Rpm they said it looks great with no damage to any hard parts.. but the whipple was installed on the car new so it only had a total on 2 k miles... but very spirited driving..

I am pretty sure ACOWHERD on here had one.... he has since gone with a 4l80... I also seem to think he broke the output shaft on the level 6... he was leaving on a 2 step though...

Ya we broke the output shaft at Indy leaving of of Two-Step set at 5300 on 20" nittos nt05r. I would suggest going with a slick to give you some sidewall to handle the shock of leaving off of the two- step and 4-10 gears to help get the car moving with less rpm. Yes we are changing to RPM 4L80 tranny and brake and hopefully some slicks to handle the winter power upgrades. Good luck with your build and RPM will be the best tranny you can buy. And thing you can do to to help from shocking the drive train is your best bet. We did cut a 1.60 60 foot time the pass before output failure. I would stay away from drag radials if at all possible.

No we had 3-70 thur a DSS 9 inch. Shift just fine we had the ZR1 clutch set up which after every pass the clutch would go to the floor just like other have gone thur. But street use was no problems. I see you have a whipple supercharger so you make low end power where we are procharged so leaving will not be problem with your set up. But like said before you will need a slick to help will the drivetrain shock. With 20's there is not sideway to flex so the weak spot is the output shaft. Lingenfelter camaro has 4-10 and Rpm level 6 with face plated gear set. Call RPM and talk with them on your plans and they help you out.

yeah i went with there level six with a hendrix streetslayer triple (rps)
so im hoping this combo works out well and i am going to order a set of slicks for track days as well. i think i will be fine for spirted driving around town.. until my slicks get here... also were u able to shit over 6000k without any grind or hesitation? |

Hey Whipped any updates on your level 6?? I broke the output shaft on my stock tranny at the F-body gathering in Atlanta for memorial day and went with the RPM Level 6. Car is still in Atlanta and should be shipped this week so. I'm sure it'll be fine for my type of driving, I haven't taken it to the track yet and may only do it once or twice but I do my share of spirited street driving which is how the output shaft broke
550 miles and 8.5 hours from home isn't a good feeling.

Yes, i am interested also Blake. The TR6060 is the only thing in my car that has not been worked. Im more of an overall street/road course performance as my goal, well balance etc. Something that can do everything well albeit not great. Looking for a low to mid 10s with my drag wheel/tires setup then running down the Z06s on the road course with my Pedders Camaro wheel and tire setup and Justice/ZL1 sway upgrades.
